Intelligence Spotlight: Where do Autopilot’s automated hours actually go?

Task-level production data shows 4.5 hours of hands-on work automated per application, with half that time spent on document review.

Autopilot automates 4.5 hours of pre-underwriting work on every home-purchase application. The breakdown shows exactly where loan teams’ time has been going:

  • Reading borrower documents: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • Writing follow-up requests: 50 minutes
  • Checking loan guidelines: 48 minutes
  • Resolving follow-ups: 30 minutes
  • Updating application fields: 8 minutes

One task dominates. Document review alone is half the total, making it the single biggest block of hands-on time removed per file. Across other loan types, Autopilot automates between 2.6 and 4.5 hours of total pre-underwriting work per application.

These are measured hands-on minutes, not estimates: task time was measured across more than 2,800 applications at more than 20 lenders through July 2026.

The real value is what loan teams can do with that time. The time Autopilot takes on becomes capacity for the work only people can do: guiding borrowers through some of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.
