This role will be an integral part of the Blend Accounting team. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, works well in collaborative teams, demonstrates strong communication skills, detail oriented, and who thrives in a rapidly growing environment. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has a strong accounting background, can develop effective working relationships with cross-functional partners and will help develop best-in-class processes and controls to support the growth of the business.
How you'll contribute:
- Perform month-end close activities that includes preparing monthly revenue entries, account reconciliations, and analytical review procedures
- Perform revenue allocation calculations and set up and maintain SaaS revenue waterfalls
- Perform review of customer contracts for revenue recognition considerations in accordance with ASC 606
- Assist in optimizing accounting policies and procedures, and implementing internal controls over the quote-to-cash process
- Partner with cross-functional groups to drive best practices and scalable revenue processes
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently, maintain high degree of accuracy, and work efficiently to meet tight deadlines
- Support annual external audit function
- Perform ad hoc projects as required, including user acceptance testing for system implementation projects
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years SaaS industry experience in a revenue accounting role
- Ability to operate in a fast paced, rapidly evolving, data driven environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required to interface with all levels of the organization
- You are passionate about driving continuous improvement in yourself and within your function
- You are detailed oriented and possess the ability to multitask
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to work with large sets of data
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce are a plus
