Product Designer, Mortgage

Product Designers translate user insights into decisions that make our products useful and usable. From developing concepts and specs, to crafting new interactions and components, you will be bringing simplicity, transparency, and delight to the complex, confusing industry of consumer finance.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be someone with a dedicated mindset towards making things happen. You can understand the big picture, take ownership, and tackle problems wherever they arise. Domain knowledge in enterprise software or home lending is not required.

 

How you'll contribute:

  • Craft thoughtful user experiences across Blend's mortgage product
  • Be responsible for the development of features from upfront discovery through execution
  • Critique and support fellow designers so they can do their best work
  • Steward quality and consistency across Blend's entire product
  • Execute in a dynamic environment with ambiguity

Who you are:

  • A driven self-starter 
  • Comfortable designing e2e from research to design polish
  • Excellent communication skills and aptitude to explain design decisions
  • Have a portfolio demonstrating exceptional quality in product design
  • Strength in systems thinking
  • Experience strategizing and executing with product and engineering teams

To comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location.

For full time hires, the hiring hourly compensation range for this position is between $90,000 - $120,000. This role is also bonus eligible. Blend benefits and perks are described below.  

Final pay offer amounts will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to function, level, geographic location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay will be adjusted for part-time roles to reflect scheduled hours.
