Blend Title Insurance Agency is seeking an Escrow Officer/Closer to support and perform advanced processes throughout the settlement environment. Our ideal candidate has the confidence to exercise independent judgment and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently handle any situation that may arise during the escrow process. This is a challenging, fast-paced, and rewarding position at the nerve center of a dynamic, scaling Title Agency.

How you'll contribute: 

  • Manages all escrow files of the closing unit
  • Processes refinance escrows and duties required of pre-close, closing, and funding stages
  • Orders all documents needed to close each escrow in a timely manner (i.e., demands, loan documents, and insurance)
  • Completes grant deeds, quitclaim deeds, notes, deeds of trust, requests for notice, subordination agreements, financing statements, and the like
  • Works with the title department in resolving issues (e.g., legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, and encroachments)
  • Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines
  • Coordinates the closing of an escrow between the principals of the escrow
  • Returns all calls, voicemails, and emails in a timely manner
  • Comprehends pay off per diems, tax prorations, interest, etc

Who you are: 

  • Minimum three (3) years of escrow experience required
  • Licensed in applicable resident state
  • Understands multi-state escrow standards, title clearance, real estate regulations and guidelines, and document preparation
  • Understands lender documents and recordings
  • Notary Commission a plus
  • Must exercise good judgement and to be able to work independently or in a team setting as needed
  • Excellent verbal skills and written communication skills
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
