A First Look at Navigator Mobile: An LOA in Your Pocket

Last month, we introduced Navigator, the AI interface that lets loan officers talk to Autopilot about a loan, see what’s happening, and tell it what to do.

Now we’re taking it to mobile.

This coming Monday at MBA Annual in Chicago, we’re giving lenders a first look at Navigator Mobile, coming to Autopilot customers later this fall. If you’re headed to MBA, join Blend CEO Nima Ghamsari on October 12 for lunch and a live demo. Reserve your seat.

And it’s much more than Navigator on a smaller screen.

It’s an AI agent that works the loan with you, not a chatbot that answers questions. It reads your pipeline, surfaces what needs your attention, keeps you updated as loans change, and can actually do the work to move them forward.

Here’s how it works:

Open the app in the morning and Navigator can look across your pipeline and surface the loans that need your attention most. When something changes on a loan, it can bring that to you. When Autopilot identifies a missing document, a question that needs resolving, or another issue standing between the borrower and the next step, Navigator can put it in front of you.

The goal is simple: you shouldn’t have to go looking for the work. The work should come to you.

And when you need to understand why something is there, you can ask:

• What changed on this loan?
• How was this borrower’s income derived?
• What documents are still outstanding?
• What should I focus on today?

Navigator can answer using what Autopilot has already reviewed, with the underlying documents, data, and guidelines available as evidence.

But answering questions is only part of the experience. It can also move the loan forward. From Navigator Mobile, a loan officer can ask the AI to do the work:

  • Can you pull credit for this borrower?
  • What loan products is this borrower eligible for?
  • Can you price the loan and show available products?
  • Can you run AUS on this file?
  • Can you request the outstanding documents?
  • Can you generate a preapproval letter for this borrower?

Navigator prepares the action and, when approval is required, shows the loan officer exactly what is about to happen before they approve it.

Navigator does the work. The loan officer stays in control.

Why mobile changes the equation

Loan officers don’t spend their days sitting in front of a computer.

They’re between appointments, at open houses, talking to Realtors, meeting borrowers, and trying to keep dozens of loans moving at once. Meanwhile, those loans don’t stop changing when the LO leaves their desk.

A borrower uploads a document. Autopilot reviews it. A new issue appears. A Realtor calls about a preapproval. A loan is ready for its next step. Navigator Mobile is designed for those moments.

Instead of waiting until an LO gets back to a laptop, Navigator can surface what changed, explain what it means, prepare the next action, and put the approval in the LO’s hand.

Not so loan officers can spend more time working from their phones, but so they can spend less time managing the mechanics of a loan and more time on the parts of the job only they can do: building relationships and closing business.

You’ll see Navigator Mobile working across a real loan pipeline, including how it surfaces priorities, answers questions, takes action, and keeps the loan officer in control from their phone.

If you can’t make the lunch, find the Blend team onsite for a demo, or reach out to us at sales@blend.com.

Navigator started by giving loan officers a way to talk to Autopilot. Navigator Mobile is the next step: an AI agent that can work the loan with you, wherever the work happens.

Navigator started as a description in a blog post. Two weeks later it was something loan officers used. The phone is the next step, and it is the one that matters most for the people who spend their day away from a desk. Less time chasing status, more time on the two things only a loan officer can do: relationships and closing.
