Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and leading a team that has a primary focus on demand generation, customer acquisition and retention, partner marketing, and content strategy. The secondary focus will focus on branding, public relations, external and internal communications. 

Given Blend’s rapid expansion and growth into new product verticals, the company is looking for a dynamic, results-driven executive who brings a unique combination of strategic vision, poised and principled leadership, creativity, and analytical rigor to every endeavor.

How you'll contribute: 

  • Accelerate growth: draw on deep data analysis, creativity, experiments, and prior experience to win new customers and expand Blend’s relationships with existing customers 
  • Deeply understand Blend’s platform and products and partner closely with the product. 
  • Predict the future: understand market trends, customer needs, usage, and buying behavior to size market opportunities and customer demand for Blend’s products
  • Develop a winning strategy and execute on it: create a measurable marketing strategy to thoughtfully present an ever-more compelling and attractive message to Blend’s customers and stakeholders
  • Collaborate across the company: partner with company leadership, product, engineering, sales, customer success, and finance to define strategic priorities, milestones and corresponding forecasts and budgets
  • Empower sales and partnerships: provide our sales team, partners and users with clear messaging and materials for the latest Blend products
  • Provide thought leadership: be an exceptional storyteller, able to see the big picture, propose innovative solutions to complex problems, and articulate clear goals, insights, plans and achievements

Who you are: 

  • Be quantitative: promote a culture that is data and insights driven. Set a framework that uses research-driven insights and measurements and turn these into strategic action that has a positive impact on business performance
  • Lead and mentor: develop a talented team of marketing and communications professionals to deliver valuable contributions to Blend and achieve overall career success
  • Has a demonstrable record of success in high growth-stage companies leading all aspects of marketing.  Ideally, will have experience at both enterprise SaaS and consumer technology companies
  • Has been successful in building partnerships with product, sales, and customer success teams to understand the user, shape the product roadmap, and successfully bring products to market
  • Has a record of attracting, retaining and developing diverse teams
  • Highly motivated and self-starting
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with multiple priorities and goals
  • Highly collaborative and team oriented
