Members of the Brand Design team bring the Blend brand to life. We are advocates and champions of the Blend Brand. From the fit and finish of all our customer and employee interactions, to counseling internal partners on creative decisions. Your charter is in three parts: management, operations, and strategy.  You will lead a team of talented creatives, build operating models for how the work gets done, and partner with Marketing to chart the design strategy for Blend’s digital properties. 
 

How you’ll contribute: 

  • Help drive the direction and development of Blend.com’s strategy with an eye towards continued evolution and refinement
  • Foster a collaborative environment and a culture of excellence for the designers and engineers you manage, enabling them to do their best work 
  • Build and influence both cross functional operating models & processes including project plan, meeting rhythms, and tools
  • Advocate for our users in strategy, roadmap prioritization and how we build Blend.com against business needs 

Who you are:

  • You have 5+ years experience as an designer, + 2 year leading a team (directly or in-directly), with a portfolio that shows your impact, creativity, and process
  • You have a portfolio demonstrating exceptional quality in visual, narrative-driven design
  • You have fluency in how marketing websites are built (you do not need to know how to code), but should have a strong grasp on design systems and front-end development 
  • You have excellent communication skills and aptitude to influence stakeholders
  • You have curiosity to learn more about the domain
