This role provides essential support for Blend’s Benefits functions. It’s expected to support benefits and collaborate on process optimization. The person in this role will be a go-to resource for all employees on company benefits practices  and benefit offerings, and will act with accountability for data integrity, reporting, and record keeping.

How you'll contribute: 

  • Answer and resolve employee benefits questions, and liaise with benefits broker on benefits issues
  • Manage brokers/vendors to receive highest quality benefits and leave administration support
  • Support the annual open enrollment process
  • Process new enrollments and qualifying life event changes in our benefits administration system
  • Process semi-monthly funding of pre-tax savings and 401k accounts
  • Manage COBRA enrollments
  • Respond to, or triage, employee inquiries sent to the People Operations inbox 
  • Examine operational touch points to make recommendations on areas for improved efficiency and effectiveness

Who you are: 

  • A positive, “can do,” service-oriented attitude, with excellent follow through on issues
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to communicate professionally via email 
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently, experience in a fast paced high tech environment a plus
  • Proven customer service skills, has a solid track record of delivering results and a desire to exceed expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality
  • A desire to constantly improve, fixes processes, addresses issues and solves problems
  • Excel knowledge and benefits systems experience a plus
