This role will work closely with our finance, compensation and benefits, and revenue operations teams. The role will evolve and assume additional responsibilities based on performance, ownership, and ability to interact successfully with the business. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, self-starter who takes pride in the accuracy and timeliness of their work.

How you'll contribute: 

  • Lead monthly commission calculations across Blend and subsidiaries, including developing the calendar for commissions processing
  • Reconcile sales reports and revenue results to ensure accurate commission payouts on a monthly basis
  • Lead external audits related to sales compensation calculations and payouts
  • Proactively identify and raise awareness about risks and formulate solutions 
  • Independently address analytical requests: understand the ask, gather data, build models, perform analyses, validate assumptions, and summarize & present results
  • Perform analysis around sales compensation plans, resolving commission related issues, and assessing performance as compared to plan
  • Prepare month end close reconciliations related to commission, monthly accruals, deferred commission journal entries, and analyzing monthly trends based on sales activities
  • Lead the implementation and become proficient with Captivate IQ (or other Sales Performance Management) tool Blend uses for commissions calculations
  • Document approvals and other supporting materials for any adjustments that will result in changes to pay and assist in drafting policies and procedures around adjustments
  • Perform ad hoc commission-related analyses and projects as required
  • Develop and maintain sarbanes-oxley internal controls processes and control procedures around commissions processes

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in relevant field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, preferably with sales commission processes 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Docs/Sheets skills (i.e., vlookup, creating pivot tables, analyzing large data sets, etc)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with proven success partnering and collaborating across multiple functions
  • Organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and easily adaptable to changing conditions
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Experience with Captivate IQ preferred or similar sales performance management system (i.e., Xactly, SAP Commissions, Varicent, etc)
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, Workday HCM, and Netsuite preferred
