Ideally, you have experience in the mortgage industry, but if you are a customer centric person with strong administrative skills, this could your calling.  We would like to see this role grow into an Escrow Officer. We would support you with training and mentorship as well as guide you through obtaining a title insurance license. This really could be the start of something great.

How you'll contribute: 

  • Assists in processing escrows/settlement files with a high degree of quality, including balancing figures, ordering payoffs, clearing title curative issues, and scheduling signing appointments
  • Orders all necessary documents to close escrows in a timely manner (i.e., demands, loan documents, and insurance)
  • Maintains records of communication with all partners involved in escrows
  • Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines
  • Informs escrow officers of any missing items or problems relevant to closing
  • Returns all calls, voicemails, and emails in a timely manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Who you are: 

  • Minimum one 1 year of experience as an Escrow Assistant is preferred OR 3-5 years in a administrative support function
  • Understands escrow standards, title clearance, real estate regulations and guidelines, and document preparation
  • Comprehends pay off per diems, tax prorations, interest, and the like
  • Understands lender documents and recordings
