Meet Caitlin McGowan, Customer Success Manager at Blend

Today we’re excited to spotlight Caitlin McGowan, a Customer Success Manager who’s been with Blend since 2022. Caitlin plays a key role in helping our customers get the most out of their Blend solutions—from streamlining processes to unlocking new efficiencies. We sat down with Caitlin to learn more about what drives her, the impact she’s seen firsthand, and what keeps her inspired in her work.

Why did you join Blend?

I’d always seen Blend as a company that doesn’t just talk about innovation—it actually delivers on it. That stood out to me. I wanted to be part of a team that’s fast-moving, solves real customer problems, and is always pushing forward.

The leadership’s focus on building the future—not just planning for it—really resonated. It made me feel like I’d have the chance to make a meaningful impact, not just internally but for the customers we support every day.

What’s one surprising or unusual object on your desk?

Our rescue cat! She’s made herself a permanent fixture—every morning she claims her sunspot under my monitor as soon as I log on.

What’s one of your favorite products you’ve helped implement?

Encompass Conditions Syncing. It’s such a smart, efficient feature, and I’ve already seen several of our lender partners adopt it with great results. Being able to collaborate on the solution’s scope and then watch it reduce manual work and streamline processes has been really rewarding. It’s a great example of how thoughtful product design can make a big difference in our customers’ day-to-day work.

How have you seen this positively impact a customer?

One lender told me it drastically cut down the time their team spent manually requesting conditions across platforms. Now they can focus more on high-value work. It’s also reduced errors and made things smoother for both their team and their borrowers—which is a big win all around.

Which of Blend’s core values resonates most strongly with you, and why?

Definitely Customer Focus. I’ve always believed that great businesses are built on understanding and supporting their customers, and I see that mindset in action here every day. I love knowing that the work I do helps our customers operate more efficiently and ultimately serve their communities better.

At the same time, Innovation is what drew me to Blend in the first place. It’s exciting to be part of a team that’s not afraid to try new things and is always looking ahead. In an industry that’s evolving fast, that mindset is essential.

Together, those two values really capture what I love most about being here: building smart, customer-driven solutions that actually move the needle.
